Love from Surprising Places

October 22nd, 2006

card captor sakura avatarWith my previous post asking help for my new project, I can’t help but be surprised at the amount of response I got. Feel the Love?

Sure, I offered to give them something in return. But what surprised me was the number of people who genuinely wanted nothing. They wanted nothing from me, except my friendship. There were people saying they wanted to be friends with me but that they were too shy or embarrassed to say so. Some wanted to call me their older sister. Some just really wanted to help me out.

It stunned me. Who am I to these people? How do they view me? Why would they do me a favor and want nothing in return other than my friendship? I, who they haven’t even seen in real life; who rarely get to talk with them, if at all. Why did they want to do me a favor?

I have done nothing special. I’m not rich. My writings are certainly never ‘novel material.’ I’m just something doing what I love on the internet.

I’m no one special.

The experience is humbling, nonetheless. I can’t begin to count how many times I’ve said ‘Thank you’ to each of the responses I’ve got.

I’ll keep this experience and tuck it in my heart.

Thank you everyone. ^^

  1. At long last, Licorne, I found you!

I was from Rhapsodia, though you probably don’t remember me. I was a n00b back then, using pre-mades and all. And then I stumbled upon Painted Wings and a whole new world opened up to me! And one I found out it was gone, I was devastated.

Okay, nothing to do with your entry but it’s so great to find you again! *huggles*

  1. Well, of course I was on the search. That Cho Hakkai layout you still have up for download? The first layout I ever used for my blog. I’m going to use it again for my blog’s first birthday. It’s like a memory that won’t go away. Yaaaaaay!

Watever happened to PW, anyways? I was so sad when it was gone, and Rhapsodia too… though I did find one member’s site again just recently.

I’m going to keep checking back here for updates. Blog! :D

  1. Oh wow. : o See, Kachou? You’re well-loved in the PW-Rhapsodia community even though it’s been defunct for a while now. The love even crossed over to the manga community.

    FEEL THE LOVE!! :!:

  1. Friendship is a big thing, and having one is priceless! Savor it

Stumbled here from Phil Webby and neat looking blog with anime themes. Lately I’ve only been seeing Bleach and Naruto animes that’s why some are unfamiliar to me.

    Congrats and good luck!
