Phoenix Rising
OK. So my comeback to this blog is not really that dramatic as the title suggests, but heck I miss writing here! It definitely feels like forever. It’s a wonder this little corner of the world hasn’t revolted against me for ignoring it for quite a while.
Let’s see… what have I been doing while I wasn’t here….? Being bewildered most of the time…
- I’ve been mistaken for a mangaka (manga series creator), again – Do I come across as talented enough to be able to draw my own manga? I can’t even draw anything unless I have a ruler, set of squares, protactor, compass and a drawing board.
- I’ve been mistaken for a manga publisher – This bewilders me to no end. Do I even sound like one? Wait. How are they supposed to sound like anyway?
- I’ve been established as an Emo magnet – This I could really do without. I never would’ve even thought about it until someone pointed it out to me. Why these depressed and terribly disturbed individuals seem to think I’ll be their salvation, I have no idea.
- I broke my DVD player – This one is heartbreaking. How am I supposed to get my bishie fix while trying to justify that watching anime is an effective way for me to learn Japanese amidst the snickering of my family members?
- I’ve been swamped with projects at work – I don’t know if the end of the world is nearing already but it seems like all of our design projects have to be finished today, as if Armageddon will start tomorrow. I wish.
- I’ve been trying to compile my scanlation wisecracks – I’m not ready for it yet though. I feel like I’ll have too much material to work with, it’ll probably end up as a multi-part series. XD Something like “Aerandria: Behind the Scenes”
- I’ve been fending off rabid manga fangirls – It’s a full-time job, I assure you. They vary from the ‘refresh the webpage every 30 seconds’ to the L33t typing ones, to the ALL CAPS typing ones, to the screaming bloody murder ones.
I wish I had some really good parting remarks but I don’t. taking over the world using smut takes up most of my brain processing capabilities.
