Birthdays, Denials, Awe
I came to the bathroom and there was a maintainance guy who was cleaning there. The moment he saw he me scuffled away and went to clean the men’s room on the other side. I looked at his cleaning things; the mop, the buckets of soapy water, the garbage. And then I remembered the importance of finishing college and thanked God that I managed to do so.
Not that I’m saying that finishing college is an absolute must, nor that a job in maintainance is something to laugh about. But we are in hard times, and not all people can be successful with only a high school or no education to back them up. That takes tremendous drive and perseverance and not all have that.
So, my hats off to all those hardworking people out there.
Thanks to my parents as well, for getting me through everything. =)

Yey! It’s going to be my birthday in less than twenty four hours. I’m going to be -beep- years old.
-silence-
-sudden realization-
What?! I’m getting a year older again? Then why the heck am I acting like a twelve-year-old still? Snap out of it, you!
My passive self: I can’t help it! *holds head in hands* I stopped counting my age when I became sixteen!
