Oh, the irony!

Just when I finished upgrading to Wordpress 2.0.3, I see an announcement for bug-fixing for the Wordpress 2.0.4 and 2.1. Yes, there goes my hard work.

Also, I transfered all the tutorials from Website Design to here. I think I will just make this site a collection of all the things I’ve done and I’ll not separate the sections anymore. Thus, the reason we switched back to the old layout.

But that also means that I have create a better layout to accomodate the tutorials. Arrg.

I decided to get lazy and use a premade Wordpress theme for my blog, just for the heck of it. The best thing about this theme is that is it compliant with my old theme and it uses my pages as horizontal links at the top. A heaven-sent thing for my lazy mood. =)

I still don’t know on the direction I will revive Painted Wings this time. Maybe I’ll just make everything; maybe I’ll ask for a staff. Do I make the highly-dynamic version, or just a plain one? I’m still quite undecided about it. I’ll kick the idea around for a bit.

It is time for yet another upgrade for Wordpress since version 2.0.3 was released 10 days ago. Yet I am a bit wary in doing so. Not only is the task tedious, I also have to upgrade 3 of my sites that use Wordpress.

The upgrade intructions says that:

1. Deactivate all plugins
2. Back up the database
3. Delete all files except in the images and WP-content folder and WP-config file
4. Upload the lastest files
5. Run the upgrade-to-latest.php file

And with my dial-up connection, I am really not looking forward to it. Absolutely not.
