A new layout. As if you didn’t notice. ^^ I’m still figuring out the kinks of it in terms of integrating it with Wordpress, including the annoying the_excerpt function that automatically adds tags to it that screws up the layout. Yes, real pretty. >.>

Why did I suddenly change the layout after months of letting it rot? Hey, the New Year is almost here and I didn’t want my blog to have a molding layout to welcome it with. Plus the whiteness was getting…. white… oO … Notice I’m very eloquent these days. *burning sarcasm*

I tried to make the layout very simple yet professional yet artistic. Yes, I love contradiction. The lines are definitely much cleaner than the Pochoco Playground layout from before. I wanted something blue and white but the other colors seemed to want to stick themselves in so I let them.

Enjoy the new look of the blog and ignore the layout errors until I get to squash the little buggers with a handy mallet.

New layout. Yes, after decades of decay. I’m really having fun with tinkering with the widgets feature. *pokes widgets again*

It was a small overhaul this time though, since the last time I changed layouts I’ve managed to clean up the codes.

Holler if you see anything weird. Except for my posts and sense of humor, that is.

Despite the fact that Wordpress released version 2.1 almost 30 days ago, I still haven’t gotten around to upgrading my blog. Why? Well, one reason should be the annoying fact that I upgraded this blog 3 times in the span of two weeks because the WP people released version 2.0.6, 2.0.7 and 2.1 days apart from each other. It was annoying how I’d login to my site and then see the notice up on the Dashboard that a new version is up yet again after I’ve upgraded days before. >.<

But the main reason now would be because on the advent of 2.1, several of the WP template tags have been deprecated and they won’t work with future versions anymore. Most of the tags I use that are now deprecated are:

• wp_list_cats
• wp_list_categories
• get_archives
• and the wonky listing of links in 2.1

Yes, I’m being lazy but I want to see some more changes in WP before I do some remodeling. Or maybe I’ll just wait for new version to come up.
