I made something, in the middle of procrastinating again… This image reminds me of a modern version of a current manga we’re scanlating at Aerandria, titled, Akagami no Shirayukihime, which literally means ‘red-haired snow white.’ Note the red hair and the forest-like background and colors. And I’ve always wanted something with kitren ears… XDD I made the shirt and jeans with a bit of a pattern… works? No? ^^”
For our manga scanlation group Aerandria, I do most of every position there is, except editor. I serve as a manga scanner, proofreader, quality checker and a bit of japanese side translation. So it was with great excitement that I delved into the only position I didn’t do, which was editing the manga itself.
I started doing so with the help of Michan who QCed my work and told me on what needed to be improved upon. It was challenging work but there’s also a lot of room for creative freedom, which I love. Here’s one sample that I made while practicing manga editing.
The dark-haired girl is supposed to be Michan, while I was the one with a ponytail. Michan had several comments about my work; about gray scaling, rotating, etc. But she was miffed the most by the fact that her character is wearing a dress. ^^
Anyway, I’ve started working formally on a manga chapter for Aerandria and it should be out within a couple of days. My own creation… ^^
There is just one reason for it. I forgot. I absolutely forgot to post the third installment for the mood icons that I’ve made last year. Yeah, that long. *gets whacked by a piece of bread*
By now I am still currently in our province enjoying the fresh air, good food.. and lack of internet. If anything gets broken around here, just push the red button titled “Emergency” and I’ll try to get back to you… when I get back. >.>
