More on the topic of scanlations, I’ve recently searched the web to find some resources that’ll help me get a better hang of things. I must admit that I was overwhelmed by the resources I’ve found and I had to pick the best ones. Makes me want to translate the japanese manga I bought myself. ^^ Oho, as if I could trust my japanese skills that far. ^^”
- Idiot’s Guide to Editing Manga - a resource goldmine for newbies. It has step by step instructions on everything. ^^ I’m going to spend hours browsing through this site.
- Japanese Sound Effects - Aha! Finally, I get to understand what all those special effects mean. I was reading manga and I couldn’t help but scratch my head when a bunck of “do” characters keep popping up.^^
- Some japanese dictionaries, especially for those dreadful kanjis; both online and for download - Coolest.com, JWP, and Wakan (one I personally use)
So that’s about it. *rolls up sleeves*I better start practicing for this new endeavor. ^^
