Where We Stand

saiunkoku monogatariI suppose the lack of posts can be credited to my being on instant messengers more than I am on this blog. Yes, that’s just another excuse for not posting and being such an accomplished procrastinator. ^^

Anyway, here’s another conversation Mirai and I had during one of our crazy moments. It was the day that my internet kept logging me out of my instant messengers. ^^

mirai: *glues kachou-sama to the floor*
me: eh?!?! Why?!?! T__T michan doesn’t like me anymore…
mirai: no, i’m pinning you down >3~~~
me: O_O
me: *gasps*
me: what are you planning to do by pinning me down?!?!
me: I like guys!!! XD
mirai: so you won’t be disconnected again?
mirai: i’m still heartbroken over midocchi and i’m not on the rebound so there’s nothing to worry about
me: ok.. XDDD
mirai: plus i can’t imagine seducing kachou-sama.. u_u;;
me: XDDDDDDDDDDDD
me: i can’t imagine sticking to one laber (lover) either…
mirai: XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

—after a few minutes—

mirai: kachou-samaaa
me: ha????
me: I told you I can’t imagine sticking to one laber either…
me: >.>
mirai: ….
me: XDDD
mirai: I wasn’t gonna bug you about that XDDDDD
me: XDDDDDD

Uh-oh! Exotic Food!

July 30th, 2007 | 1 Comment

japanese mangaAs I was eating lunch the other day I noticed that the cured meat I had for lunch was a bit hard. I thought for a while that the meat has just been aired too long that it became hard. So I ate it without preamble nor complaint.

It wasn’t until I got home that I’ve learned that the meat wasn’t pork, as I thought it was. I was carabao (kalabaw) which is native here in the Philippines.

My reaction? I was surprised of course, but I wasn’t disgusted. I’ve already eaten some exotic dishes before like *censored to avoid readers’ disgust* and they weren’t that bad. The one main reaction I had though was that I suddenly remembered that when I was a kid growing up in the province, I’d go home riding a carabao after a day of playing in the fields.

Then I looked down at my plate again. ^^

Tagalog Yaoi

July 1st, 2007 | 1 Comment

Yes, what is the world coming to? I just realized we have a new project in Aerandria where we translate a Chinese yaoi manga to Tagalog. O_O And the conversations that followed are even weirder.

Me: *le gasp* OMG!!! Tii-chan just gave me the shock of my life! O_O
Me: She gave us a project of a yaoi manga in tagalog! TAGALOG! YAOI! I never imagined the two words to go together. O_O I am SHOCKED! ^_^
Michan: BAHAHAHAHAHA!
Jasmine: tsk tsk… Licorne… by now my love for the yaoi genre should have removed any shock for you. Or maybe, you have to be with gay people more.
Michan: I’m neutral. Undecided”
Me: You’re gay enough for me, jasmine, thank you.
Michan: Jassan? Gay? … *demure enough tonight to not say the word* ….?
Jasmine: *this is from a person who is working in the advertising industry, where a lot of gay people are found* LOL
Jasmine: Grin What is life when you’re straight?!
Michan: I only live to confuse people.
Jasmine: I live to harass people.
Michan: Like Kachou-sama?_?
Jasmine: Well, between me and Licorne… I’m definitely the gay-hyper one.
Me: You’re gay, jasmine. Period.
Jasmine: Are you kidding?! With Licorne I’m always the underdog! Gomen
Jasmine: See?! She does it again!
Me: You LIKE being the underdog…. wait.. that has double meanings….. XDD
Jasmine: pfffffffffffffft… meaaaaaaaaanieeeeee…
