Japanese Manga Cravings

card captor sakura avatarDue to the lull I received after finishing part of the web project I had before, I am now concentrating solely on improving my japanese. I’m trying to memorize and understand the numerous japanese sentence patterns. It’s encouraging to read my japanese manga after brushing up on my japanese sentence patterns since I understand more of what I read after learning the patterns.

The effect? I bought several japanese mangas online. Oh, dear. Will I be overwhelmed? Well, at least I know it’ll be more than a month till they get here so I’ll have plenty of time to practice. ^^

I’m also looking forward to translating the mangas for Michan’s manga scanlation site. *rolls up sleeve* I’m ready to polish my nihonggo skills!

Internet Explorer Javascript

chobits avatarI’m getting quite irritated with Internet Explorer, again. Remember that web project I told you about last week? Well, the main reason that I was having a hard time with it was that IE refused to show the javascript correctly, even though Firefox and Opera rendered it quite well. The thing that puzzled me was that the javascript was taken from one of those free resources online and their example worked like a charm but mine didn’t even though the two were identical.

So what was the root of the problem? It turns out that IE6 will not render Javascript offline; it will only do so online.

@#$%&!

At It Again

angel sanctuary avatarThe workaholic is at it again and she’s killing herself with work. I have a deadline on a big project on Monday, then another deadline for that on March 5th. I have my 19 inches tall cross stitch pattern, a pending layout for the Hakkai and Hakkuryu fanlisting, my Japanese lessons, and my normal workload. Yes, I’m definitely on the road to exhaustion once again.

I thought I’d finally have some rest on the 2th since it is President’s Day in the US but it seems our company had other ideas. We’re having communication training on that day so we had to go to work. My reaction? O_O Not that I have superb communication skills, but I can converse in English quite well. I’d rather sleep.

Gah, I need sleep.
