Michan was kind enough to teach me the basics of editing scanlations and I won’t say I’m thrilled at the results (it’s a bit crooked). I just hope I can get used to it soon so I can start *shining wide eyes of excitement* If you want to see a sample of my very first edited scanlation, you can look for your self go here. It’s for the manga series Boku ni Natta Watashi. Translations for it are to follow.
Fickle Musings
Talking alout of my thoughts and doubts about certain things.
Sparkles of Interest
There’s a super typhoon brewing here in the Philippines and my brain seems to be going along with the notion. Of brewing, that is. I finally found my interest sparked by a couple of things that are new to me, or I haven’t done in a long time. They are certainly welcome; a definite break from a monotonous routine that I have been stuck with.
- Michan has asked me to be an editor in her upcoming scanlator site! My job would be editing all those japanese words in the scanned manga into english ones in Photoshop. I haven’t had any experience with it yet and I am already very excited. ^_^ Another skill to widen my horizons!
- *looks around to be sure no one is listening* This one hasn’t been announced yet, but. Yes, this next one is about Ouran High School Host Club yet again. Jas and I are going to make a roleplaying site about it, and it will stretch my knowledge in WP yet. That is to have a content management site, run by one blogging system and with various layouts. Phew! *straps seatbelt on* I’m ready for the challenge!
Ouran High and Livejournal
I should be working. I know I should. Yet I find myself creating yet another Livejournal account for the nth time because I can’t remember the ones I made four years ago. That long? O_O
I watched Ouran High Host Club, all 27 anime episodes, for two days straight, up until two in the morning. I just couldn’t seem to stop myself from liking it. It was funny, and yes, it reminded me of Fruits Basket. It wasn’t as hard-hitting but the comedic elements were there. Not to mention that Momiji has been reborn in the form of Honey-sempai, complete with bunny and all. Yep, even the seiyuu was the same. Who could resist that?
And like Fruits Basket, the ending left much to be desired, plotwise. Damn it. Now I want to read the manga.
*gets manga*
Ah, there you go. Jasmine and I are thinking of making a new section in Winglica for Ouran High, much like what we did for Fruits Basket.
Oh, well. We’ll see about that after we finish the preparations for Harusaki’s second birthday.
//edit
*gnaws Livejornal*
I still like Wordpress better! Why do I have to go to my admin panel eveytime I want to edit an entry? Why can’t I have a little link beside my entry that says ‘Edit’?<== obviously the lazy type.
