Romance

Fodder for my romance-deprived soul.

The Elenium

I’m in a book-reading frenzy again. So much so that I can finish two paperback novels in a day. My voracious reading habits are scary and when I get the urge, there’s no stopping.

I’m currently reading The Elenium Trilogy by David Eddings. I actually read the last book, The Sapphire Rose a few years back. I borrowed it from a friend, and even though I was already reading the last part of the trilogy, I wanted to read the first two books because the story was intriguing.

The Diamond ThroneThe Ruby Knight (Book Two of the Elenium)Sapphire Rose (Elenium (Paperback))

I suppose that I should be honest and say part of the intrigue was the relationship between Ehlana, the queen and her champion and also protagonist of the books, Sparhawk. The two have a unconventional love story where Ehlana at age six falls in love with her then tutor and guardian, Sparhawk. They were separated but reunited again after ten years and it’s delightful how well the relationship turns out. I think I’ll stop there because any further and I just might blurt out the whole story. Go read it for yourself and enjoy. ^^

Malory Series

Mekakushi no KuniI have been approved for the fanlisting of the Malory series by Johanna Lindsey! *faints* OMG! My very first TFL fanlisting, people! *runs around screaming like a banshee* Now I get to keep a part of my favorite James Malory, my very own gentleman pirate. =)

I’d like to list the complete books of the series here, in order, and recommend them to anyone who likes historical romances; or if you like amazing wit and humor, read the third book, Gentle Rouge. *runs of to start planning the fanlisting*
