Sparkles of Interest

Clover CLAMP avatar

There’s a super typhoon brewing here in the Philippines and my brain seems to be going along with the notion. Of brewing, that is. I finally found my interest sparked by a couple of things that are new to me, or I haven’t done in a long time. They are certainly welcome; a definite break from a monotonous routine that I have been stuck with.

  • Michan has asked me to be an editor in her upcoming scanlator site! My job would be editing all those japanese words in the scanned manga into english ones in Photoshop. I haven’t had any experience with it yet and I am already very excited. ^_^ Another skill to widen my horizons!
  • *looks around to be sure no one is listening* This one hasn’t been announced yet, but. Yes, this next one is about Ouran High School Host Club yet again. Jas and I are going to make a roleplaying site about it, and it will stretch my knowledge in WP yet. That is to have a content management site, run by one blogging system and with various layouts. Phew! *straps seatbelt on* I’m ready for the challenge!

Ouran High and Livejournal

I should be working. I know I should. Yet I find myself creating yet another Livejournal account for the nth time because I can’t remember the ones I made four years ago. That long? O_O

I watched Ouran High Host Club, all 27 anime episodes, for two days straight, up until two in the morning. I just couldn’t seem to stop myself from liking it. It was funny, and yes, it reminded me of Fruits Basket. It wasn’t as hard-hitting but the comedic elements were there. Not to mention that Momiji has been reborn in the form of Honey-sempai, complete with bunny and all. Yep, even the seiyuu was the same. Who could resist that?

And like Fruits Basket, the ending left much to be desired, plotwise. Damn it. Now I want to read the manga.

*gets manga*

Ah, there you go. Jasmine and I are thinking of making a new section in Winglica for Ouran High, much like what we did for Fruits Basket.

Oh, well. We’ll see about that after we finish the preparations for Harusaki’s second birthday.

//edit
*gnaws Livejornal*

I still like Wordpress better! Why do I have to go to my admin panel eveytime I want to edit an entry? Why can’t I have a little link beside my entry that says ‘Edit’?<== obviously the lazy type.

Princess and Happy Feet

Ion manga avatar

There should be a good reason why I have been blatantly ignoring the dictates to blog the last few days. Something. . . concrete, and justifiable. Like studying, or fighting for human rights, or saving the world. *pumps fists in air*

But alas, there is none. *slumps* I’ve been too busy getting addicted, on several things.

  • Jas lent me her copies of Princess Princess and Ouran High Host Club. I’ve already finished Princess Princess since it’s only 12 episodes, but Ouran High has double that, I think. I can already imagine the endless hours in front of the TV.
  • There’s a new author that I like, named Amanda Quick, because she has a lot of historical romances, with the usual smut of course. Though that is not the main point of her books. Her heroines are forever amusing and independent. And her stories have, dare I say it, a good plot! By God, a smutty romance with a plot, you say? What is the world coming to? ^^
  • Jas, yes you can blame her again, gave me two new computer games to play and I am quite addicted, if the symptoms of a slight headache can be believed.
  • Harusaki’s second birthday is coming up! We are making some preparations for it since we always do something to commemorate the event. Two years in the internet world is a long time, ne?
  • I’ll be watching Happy Feet over the weekend with Jas (she does has a nasty habit of cropping up in my every other addiction, ne?). I say, I’d watch anything with Hugh Jackman on it. ^^
