Book Holiday
Did I mention that I’m on a book holiday. Well, yes I am, but it seems that I can’t really stay away from the internet. A glutton for punishment at your service.
The first book was titled The Missing Locket of Windbrace Hall. It’s genre was romance/ historical/ gothic and it was written in the first-person perspective. It was the first time I ever read something in that genre and I liked it. Liked it so much I stayed up till 2 am to finish the book! Yep. Finished the book within 4 hours straight.
The next book is on the romance genre and I am a bit disappointed in it. It’s dragging and nothing interesting is really going on. Not to mention that the author is playing at being psyhic by telling what her characters are thinking. Really! Shouldn’t authors show us rather than tell us what their characters are about? Though the book’s not that bad; it’s just so-so.
I remember the last time I hated a book. Hated a book so much I threw it out the window. Literrally. Another time was I wanted to get rid of it immediately that the moment a friend asked me if it was alright to borrow the book, I immediately said she can have it, keep it, and never let me see it’s pages again.
A simple question. How can some published authors have so much bad grammar in their works? Don’t they have editors and proofreaders?
