As I was eating lunch the other day I noticed that the cured meat I had for lunch was a bit hard. I thought for a while that the meat has just been aired too long that it became hard. So I ate it without preamble nor complaint.

It wasn’t until I got home that I’ve learned that the meat wasn’t pork, as I thought it was. I was carabao (kalabaw) which is native here in the Philippines.

My reaction? I was surprised of course, but I wasn’t disgusted. I’ve already eaten some exotic dishes before like *censored to avoid readers’ disgust* and they weren’t that bad. The one main reaction I had though was that I suddenly remembered that when I was a kid growing up in the province, I’d go home riding a carabao after a day of playing in the fields.

Then I looked down at my plate again. ^^

Top piano student Chiaki Shin’ichi aspires to become a conductor, but his travel phobia prevents him from acquiring greater exposure overseas even though he should have no problems in getting scholarships. While he feels his musical career is in stalemate, he meets Nodame, a girl from the same university. Though she is also a music genius, she is everything he is not – carefree, messy, chaotic. They may run into conflicts, but they also make perfect complements for each other!

My comments? *ties hands to prevent from overreacting* Watch it! Watch it! I swear, I’ve never been a fan of instrumentals, much less classical music so for me to love this really wacky and endearing series is quite a surprise. I could rave a lot about it, and I know that given a chance I would, so I’ll just say, go watch it!

Finally! A graphics update featuring avatars from my favorites series, Death Note. I’m really glad how these turned out. They feature Raito (Light), Misa and a Skull.
