Vampire Knight Manga

September 30th, 2006 | 19 Comments

Vampire Knight, Volume 1 (Vampire Knight)I’ve started reading the first volume of the manga series Vampire Knight by Matsuri Hino and it’s starting to be really intriguing so far. It is about a world where vampires and human are trying to co-exist with each other. The setting is in a high school (again?!) where students are divided into the Day Class or the Night Class; the Night class obviously being populated by the students who are vampires.

The mood is a great mixture of dark mystery and danger but it also includes some comedy and a hint of romance.

The character art is beautiful and one character, Zero is defintely earning a place in my ‘Wish They were Real’ list; heaven knows he deserves to be. He’s our typical strong, silent and wounded protagonist who is fortunately, also gifted in looks. Yep, definitely be putting him on my list.

I’ll only be able to read up to the fourth volume, unfortunately. It almost makes me want to brush up on my Kanji so that I can read the original japanese manga. Almost.

Zero Kiriyuu Avatars

It’s all Michan’s fault that I am now reading the manga of Vampire Knight by Matsuri Hino. Much worse, is that I’m starting to like Zero Kiriyuu. *sigh* So here you go, two new avatars of Zero. The Kanji for the second avatar means pain or suffering. Describes our hero perfectly. ^^
